The cans are said to pose a ‘potential health risk’.
An Edinburgh brewery has put out an urgent recall for cans of their festive beer after a labelling error.
Vault City Brewery have recalled all Mince Pie Sour beer cans as they have said the batch contains milk but fails to be labelled with an allergen warning identifying it as an ingredient.
The brewery now state the beer must not be consumed by people with milk allergies as it poses a potential health risk.

Brewery urges customers to ‘return or dispose’ of all cans in batch
In an email to customers, a Vault City Brewery spokesperson said: “In case you missed it, we're recalling all Mince Pie Sour beer cans because this batch contains milk and as such should be labelled with a clear allergen warning identifying milk as one of the ingredients.
“Unfortunately, this warning is absent from some of the can labels used.
“This beer MUST NOT be consumed by people with milk allergies as it poses a potential health risk.
“If you are unsure whether you have beer from this batch, these cans can be identified by the batch number ‘G840’ printed on the bottom of the cans.
“Please return or dispose of all cans.”
For returns, contact [email protected] and send the cans to Vault City Brewery, 2 James Hamilton Way, Pentland Science Park, EH26 0BF.
