Scotland Weather: Latest forecast as sunny skies set for most of Scotland this weekend

Their five day weather forecast has stated it will be staying warm with some light winds across large parts of the UK.

The Met Office’s forecast for Saturday read: “A chilly start with mist or fog quickly dispersing.

“Most places then warm and sunny with light winds, though northwest Scotland stays cloudier, breezier and sees occasional light rain. “

For Sunday to Tuesday, the forecaster says light rain will move southeast across Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Winds will strengthen with wintry showers later while elsewhere is expected to be fine with sunshine. Monday is expected to be briefly colder in the north before Tuesday turns more unsettled.

Weekend forecast across Scotland

Edinburgh will see a high of 15C with sunny skies on Saturday, while Sunday will be slightly colder with a cloudy overcast and a high of 11C.

There is a high of 14C in Glasgow on Saturday. It is then expected to be cloudy with a high of 12C on Sunday.

In the Borders, Hawick will see a high of 15C on Saturday then a slightly colder 12C on Sunday.

There will be a high of 14C in Dundee on Sunday then it will be 13C on Sunday.

On Tiree, in the Inner Hebrides, there is expected to be a lot of cloud coverage on Saturday when it will be 11C but feel colder. There will be more sun on Sunday and it is expected to reach a high of 12C.

Aberdeen is expected to see a high of 12C on Saturday then 13C on Sunday.

It will be slightly cloudy in Fort William on Saturday with a high of 11C. There will also be a high of 11C on Sunday but there is expected to me more sunlight.

Saturday is expected to be quite cloudy in Portree. There is a high of 11C on Saturday and 10C on Sunday.

Inverness will face similar weather with a high of 12C on Saturday and 11C on Sunday.

Ullapool is expected to have a high of 11C on Saturday and 12C on Sunday while Wick will see a high of 10C on both days.

There is expected to be light showers in Stornoway on Sunday but there will be a high of 10C on Saturday and 9C on Sunday.

Kirkwall, on Orkney, is expected to be cloudy on Saturday with a high of 10C. Sunday will also see a high of 10C but with some light showers.

It’s expected that Lerwick on Shetland will be quite cloudy over the weekend with a high of 9C on Saturday and 10C on Sunday when there may be light showers.
