Royal Mile pharmacy siege: Man appears in court
A MAN as appeared in court after being charged over an alleged incident at a pharmacy on the Royal Mile.
Russell Irvine, 32, made no plea or declaration at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today after being accused of assault and robbery and abduction.
He made a brief appearance in private before Sheriff Fiona Reith QC.
The case was continued for further inquiry following the alleged incident last night and Irvine was remanded in custody.
