Primaries mine council funds
EVERY primary school in Midlothian is to receive £100 towards the costs involved in visiting the award-winning National Mining Museum in Newtongrange.
Midlothian Provost Adam Montgomery made the announcement on a visit to the museum, and said: “Mining is an instrinsic part of Midlothian’s mining heritage and history, and it is important that we keep the knowledge of that alive for current and future generations.”
