Today (Monday, July 20) saw Andy Burnham become the new Labour leader - and UK Prime Minister - after becoming the sole candidate to succeed Sir Keir Starmer.
For the first time in several months it has meant that Labour are now favourites to win the next General Election, following months of Reform UK leading the polls and the bookies’ markets.
That’s partially down to the popularity of Burnham, but also due to a change in the political fortunes of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.
Revelations that he failed to declare financial gifts and donations - including £5 million from cryptocurrency investor Christopher Harborn - have left Farage reeling, as well as facing a police investigation.
He has now stood down as MP for Clacton triggering a byelection that he intends to stand in - but none of the main parties are planning to stand against him, leaving him competing with joke candidate Count Binface for votes.
It means that speculation over who will eventually succeed him as leader of Reform UK are now rife.
Here are the 13 favourites.
