Passion Park Dundee: ‘Deep sadness’ as Scottish skatepark closes due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’
The owners shared the news on social media
Dundee’s only indoor skatepark has closed less than year after it opened its doors.
Passion Park, which only opened on Gellatly Street in January, announced the news on social media last week.
Posting on Instagram, the owners said they were “deeply saddened” by the closure, which they said was down to “unforeseen circumstances out with our control”.

They said: “A massive thank you for all the support throughout the year, our amazing coaches, staff, and every single skateboarder, biker, scooterer and skater who came down for a shralp.
“We truly appreciate this whole community that has come together and made Passion more than just a skatepark. You’ve turned it into a huge family of shredders from two years old to 68 years young and everything in between what a madness this has been.”
They added: “We might be down, but we’re definitely not out. This isn’t the last you’ll see of us - bigger and better things are on the horizon.”
The park officially closed on Monday.
Fans of the skatepark said they were “gutted” by the news.
Commenting on the Instagram post, one person said: “Such a blow to the community! Sorry to hear guys, you pulled something great together and have a lot to be proud of!”
Another said: “Gutted for you guys. This is one thing Dundee needs so hopefully you guys can get set up somewhere else in the city….. best of luck for the future.”
