Parental vigilance
Lessons need to be learnt. The McCanns are perfectly placed for leading a campaign to highlight the need for all parents to keep vigilance over their children when on holiday.
It is true that the person responsible for the loss of Maddy is the abductor. But it is an inconvenient truth that her parents’ behaviour made the abductor’s task easier.
