Future of NHS
Whatever the outcome of the referendum, the NHS is under threat from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership trade deal being negotiated between the EU and the US. It could allow US firms to sue a government that tried to protect the NHS from privatisation. The UK government is backing the deal, and Alex Salmond has spoken in favour of it.
If we are to safeguard the NHS, education and other public services for future generations, both sides on the referendum must reject TTIP.
