It's time to get excited about Scotland's return to football World Cup
Scotland may be underdogs but that’s just the way we like it
How are you feeling? Excited, nervous, proud... a mixture of all three? There are now just 100 days to go until the start of men’s football World Cup. After missing every global tournament since France 1998, this is a truly historic moment for Scotland and one which some feared they would not see again in their lifetimes.
But with players like Scott McTominay, John McGinn and Kieran Tierney, qualification was secured in some style, as a wonderful victory over Denmark ensured that Scotland did not need to bother with the play-offs.

Make no mistake, the quality of the goals on that night will worry our group stage opponents, Brazil, Morocco and Haiti. We may be tournament underdogs, but that’s just the way we like it. Under-estimate us at your peril.
Qualification will be enough for some. Others will hope to see Scotland make it through to the knock-out rounds for the first time. Some will dream improbable – but not impossible – dreams. But whatever happens, Steve Clarke and co have already achieved something remarkable and, as always, “Bonnie Scotland, Bonnie Scotland we’ll support you evermore”.
