Leigh Griffiths pleads not guilty to shoplifting
HIBS star Leigh Griffiths today pled not guilty to shoplifting charges.
The 22-year-old is alleged to have stolen bottles of water and fruit juice from a Tesco supermarket in Corstorphine in January.
The player entered the not guilty plea by letter at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, and the case is set to proceed to trial.
Griffiths entered no plea when the matter was first called on March 6 but denied the shoplifting charges on Twitter.
He admitted to his followers that he had been questioned.
