Arthur's Seat fire: Firefighters tackle large gorse blaze near Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh
Smoke can be seen for miles around
Fire crews are battling a large gorse fire that has broken out in Edinburgh’s Holyrood Park.
Emergency services were called to Holyrood Park at the base of Salisbury Crags, not far from the Our Dynamic Earth visitor attraction, at 6.38pm on Sunday.
Thick plumes of smoke billowing from the Arthur's Seat area can be seen for miles across the Capital.

Images taken by local residents show the scale of the incident, with the smoke clearly visible from as far away as Meggetland, a couple of miles from the scene.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed four appliances have been dispatched to tackle the blaze and urged the public not to report the fire further.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We are currently attending a fire in the open at Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh.
"Four fire appliances are at the scene. We were alerted at 6.38pm on Sunday, 19 July.
"There is no need to call Operations Control regarding this incident."
More to follow as we get it.
