Easyjet’s new Edinburgh to London link
AIRLINE easyJet is to introduce the first direct flight from Edinburgh Airport to London Southend from May 2 this year.
The new route will operate six times per week, meaning Edinburgh will have links to all London airports.
Edinburgh Airport chief executive, Gordon Dewar, said: “Providing our passengers with the best choice of destinations is a key priority of Edinburgh Airport and we are delighted that easyJet will soon be flying directly to London Southend.
“This will no doubt provide greater flexibility for our business travellers who will be able to fly to all London airports from Edinburgh.
“The last few months has seen us work very closely with our friends at easyJet to enhance the services we provide to our customers.”
