Missing Highland fisherman's family told of body find

THE family of a missing fisherman from the Highlands have been informed about the discovery of a body off the Orkney coast.
Craig Reid, from Munlochy on the Black Isle, fell overboard from the fishing boat Apollo on 18 April.
Police Scotland has confirmed that the body of a man has been recovered by a fishing vessel 25 miles north west of Orkney.
A spokesman said: “Formal identification has not taken place, but the family of Craig Reid who went missing on 18 April have been made aware. “There is no further information at this time and enquiries are ongoing.”
A massive search operation took place in waters around Orkney after Mr Reid went missing.
An investigation into the incident is currently being carried out by the Marine Accidents Investigation Branch.
Mr Reid’s family has since launched a campaign to raise funds for the RNLI and have already donated £2,500 to the Kessock lifeboat crew.
It is the second time the Inverness-registered Apollo has been involved in a sea tragedy after William Reid, 26, a cousin of Craig, died after falling from the trawler into the North Sea in 2007.
