Caution on meat products
THE use of all frozen beef products has been suspended indefinitely by West Lothian Council in the wake of the horsemeat scandal.
The council said it had taken the precautionary approach on advice from supplier Scotland Excel until further investigations are completed.
There was no evidence that implicated meat products had been supplied to local catering facilities, the council said.
