Glasgow police investigate as man, 74, dies on street after being found 'seriously injured'
Police have launched an appeal following the incident.
Police are appealing for information after the “unexplained” death of a pensioner found with serious injuries in Baillieston.
The 74-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday after emergency services were called at around 5.50pm to reports of a man with serious injuries on Maxwell Street, near to its junction with Main Street.
The man’s next of kin have been informed.

Police said his death is being treated as unexplained, pending the results of a post mortem.
Detective Sergeant Graham Clarke said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time and our enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have information that could assist with our investigation to contact officers.
“We’d also ask that those who live locally who have private CCTV or dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything of significance.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2461 of December 5.
