Arrest warrants follow 18% of fines
Almost 18 per cent of fines issued by courts in the last three years have been chased with an arrest warrant because the offender has failed to pay.
Figures from the Scottish Court Service show that 90,894 warrants were issued between 2009-10 and 2011-12.
