The crash involved a white coloured Ford Fiesta.

Sergeant Thomas Aitken, of Road Policing East, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have seen the vehicle prior to get in contact with officers.

“I’d also ask that anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to review this to see if it has captured anything significant that would assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0628 of January 11.
