The Scotch whiskies that won big in the IWSC 2026 spirits trophies

The 2026 International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) spirits trophy winners have been announced.

After the IWSC 2026 spirits judging in the summer, the IWSC spirits trophy winners for 2026 have been announced. These recognise the highest-performing individual spirits from across this year’s competition.

The team explained how these trophies work, saying: “Selected from the very best of the IWSC’s top medal winners, these trophies represent the pinnacle of achievement for an individual bottle at the IWSC.

“Earlier this year, the IWSC’s expert judges assessed thousands of spirits from producers around the world, awarding the very best with coveted Gold and Gold Outstanding medals. Several members of the IWSC Spirits Judging Committee then reconvened to retaste the top-performing entries and select the bottles worthy of the competition’s highest individual accolades.”

Among the 24 spirits trophies awarded, Scotch whisky won three trophies and these were for both single malt and blended whisky with winning whiskies ranging from nine to 35 years old.

The three Scotch whiskies which won were: Bowmore 9 year old single malt whisky which took the single malt whisky under 20 year old trophy. You can buy a bottle here.
