Drygate offer Black Friday two for one can swap for food bank
Instead of offering reduced prices this Black Friday, the brewery is doubling up on their can swap scheme.
Posting on their social media, the team said: "This time of year is especially hard on folks who might struggle to make ends meet, so to help our pals at Drumchapel Food Bank, we're offering the public TWO cans of beer for each can of food donated.
"As ever, simply bring cans of food into Drygate, and we'll swap them for beers, up to a maximum of 12 - although we'll happily accept more donations.
They added on a post on their website: "Over a thousand cans of beer have already been swapped for food, but this doesn't even begin to cover the generosity we've seen from the people of Glasgow (and beyond).
"While 1077 cans of beer have been handed out, we've seen so many people handing in bagfuls of food and other essentials, without even taking a single can away. We've lost track of how much has been handed in, but trust us when we say IT'S A LOT."
All beer fans need to do is head to Drygate with cans of food and exchange them for two cans of beer. You can choose from Bearface Lager, Crossing the Rubicon West Coast IPA or Chimera India Pale Lager.
Drumchapel Food Bank recently posted that they were in need of the following items:
Cans - Tinned Custard - Tinned Fruit - Tinned Beef/Chicken/Veg Curry
Other - Cereal - Biscuits - Sugar - Washing Powder - Shower Gel/Shampoo/Conditioner - Soap - Dog Food
