Former professional snooker player and renowned commentator John Virgo has died at the age of 79 - less than three weeks after covering his last match.
Virgo turned professional in 1976 and won four titles, including the 1979 UK Championship, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the World Championship.
But it was away from competitive play where he shone, immitating his fellow players and performing trick shots at exhibition games.
It led him to appear alongside comedian Jim Davidson in BBC primetime snooker game show Big Break for over a decade.
Following his retirement from the game in 1994 he stepped into the commentary box and became one of the most recognisable voices of BBC sport.
He commentated his final match just last month - the Masters final between John Higgins and Kyren Wilson.
