David celebrated his 100th birthday on January 30, 2025.
A proud resident at HC-One Scotland’s Greenfield Park Care Home, in Glasgow, celebrated his 100th birthday with an ‘extra whisky’ surrounded by his beloved family, residents and colleagues.
Greenfield Park resident David Kennedy, 100, has built a large and ever-growing family, including his beloved grandchildren. To mark his special day, David enjoyed a whisky, listening to music, and sharing stories with his family.
Among the many thoughtful gifts David received on January 30, a special card from King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived, acknowledging this extraordinary achievement. When not spending time with his family, David enjoyed playing games such as pool and football.

The special occasion was marked with a joyful party, surrounded by close family, friends and fellow residents. The event, held at Greenfield Park’s own pub, was a delightful celebration of David’s long and vibrant life.
When sharing his secret to reaching this remarkable age, David Kennedy stated: “I’ve done it 100 times, but I will have an extra whisky to mark the occasion.”
Adelle Bryant, HC-One Scotland’s Greenfield Park Care Home Manager, said: "Celebrating David’s 100th birthday was truly a moment to remember. Surrounded by his loved ones, the air was filled with joy and laughter.
“David couldn’t have been happier. It was a celebration of a lifetime, honouring a century of memories and love."
