CelluComp’s bio-refinery opens in Fife

A FIFE firm that turns root vegetables into material for a range of products, from paint to skateboards, has opened the world’s first plant of its kind.

CelluComp’s bio-refinery in Glenrothes was officially unveiled by minister for youth and women’s employment Annabelle Ewing, who said it would bring more “highly skilled jobs” to Fife. The firm was founded in 2005 by David Hepworth and Eric Whale.
