Caremark Edinburgh will provide personalised care for adults who need support to continue living safely and independently in their own homes.

The launch marks a major milestone in Caremark’s UK expansion and will support both private customers and NHS referrals, including work with hospital discharge teams and local healthcare partners.

The team will provide care across Edinburgh and surrounding areas, helping people access the support they need at home while also easing pressure on hospitals and wider health and social care services.

Caremark Edinburgh will offer a full range of services including elderly care, respite care, hospital discharge support, long-term care packages, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, arthritis care, companionship, diabetes care, hypertension support, live-in care, overnight care and end-of-life care. The team will also support people living with Acquired Brain Injuries, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s disease and other neurological conditions.

At the opening event, Daniel Johnson MSP welcomed Caremark Edinburgh and highlighted the growing need for high-quality, person-centred care that enables people to remain independent in their own homes.

Caremark Edinburgh is led by Natasha Bij, Company Director and Owner, and Nitin Mahajan, Managing Director, who are now recruiting care assistants to support customers across the city and surrounding areas. As part of the launch, the new branch is creating multiple local jobs, with Natasha and Nitin focused on building a team that understands the community and shares their commitment to compassionate, reliable care.

The company said: “Demand for care at home is increasing, and we wanted to be part of the solution here in Edinburgh.

“Our aim at Caremark Edinburgh is to be recognised for delivering compassionate, reliable home care that people trust, making a positive difference to the lives of individuals and families across our community.

"Now, our focus is on building a team of care assistants who are compassionate, reliable and genuinely committed to helping people live safely and independently at home.

“All members of our team will receive full training, including mandatory and specialist training where needed, so we can provide the highest standard of care to every customer.”

As a company, Caremark is committed to helping its employees grow and succeed in their careers, offering professional development opportunities and a supportive network to help care assistants progress within the company.

Commenting on the launch, David Glover, CEO of Caremark, added: “Opening our first Scottish franchise is a major milestone for Caremark, but more importantly, it brings much-needed care-at-home support to Edinburgh.

“Home care plays a vital role in helping people maintain their independence, while also supporting hospital discharge and reducing pressure on wider health and social care services.

“There is a clear and growing need for high-quality, locally led care across Scotland. Natasha, Nitin and their team are bringing Caremark’s experience, values and community-focused approach to Edinburgh, and we are incredibly proud to support them as they begin making a difference to people’s lives.”
