Business Fives, which is supported by a host of ambassadors that include Hibernian and Scotland legend Pat Stanton and Hearts and Scotland legend Gary Mackay, runs corporate sports events with a charitable impact and has raised more than £170,000 for good causes.

Founder John McClarey is aiming to make an equally positive contribution with this online venture, particularly as traditional events are on hold during the lockdown.

He said: “The way in which we communicate and interact with our colleagues, clients and potential business partners is evolving and now is a time for solidarity.

“Beyond meeting new connections at our events, companies have used them as an opportunity to bond with colleagues and to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of their co-workers. The events have fostered a collaborative environment where companies can have conversations with fellow professionals and we are excited to continue this through Business Esports.”
