The Oasis reunion is officially on, with a British tour next year including three dates at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8, 9 and 12.
It will be the 43rd, 44th and 45th time that the Manchester band have played Scotland, starting with a tiny gig at King Tut’s in Glasgow when they were famously ‘discovered’ by manager Alan McGee.
Of course it won’t just be Oasis, with two or three support bands also likely to perform on the night.
And Oasis have a pretty good track record when it comes to choosing the acts who open for them - the list of previous supports read like a who’s who of music - from Supergrass, The Happy Mondays, The Verve and Manic Street Preachers, to The Coral, The Foo Fighters, Travis and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
Nothing has yet been announced for their big UK reunion tour, but there will likely be some familiar names on the bill.
So, who will be opening for the band at their two huge Murrayfield gigs? We have some ideas.

9. Young Fathers
If Oasis are looking for some local talent to join them at Murrayfield they couldn't do much better than Edinburgh's Young Fathers. The intense Mercury Prize-winners have a fearsome reputation as a live band and have a sound that could fill the biggest of stadia. | Getty Images

10. The Lathums
Born and raised just down the road from Manchester in Wigan, The Lathums already have two number one albums under their belts and recently headlined a huge homecoming show at the 11,500-capacity Robin Park Arena. Proper stadiums are their natural next step and Oasis could give them their first shot. | Getty Images

11. The Charlatans
Formed in Birmingham in the late 1980s, The Charlatans proved they are still a great live band neadling a show at Glasgow's Queen's Park earlier this year. Tim Burgess' band were another of the support acts who joined Oasis at Knebworth so would be a natural choice to join the reformed band for their British tour. | AFP via Getty Images

12. The Last Dinner Party
When big acts announce big tours they often like to show they have their finger on the pulse of the music industry by getting the hottest new acts to join them - think Wet Leg supporting both Harry Styles and The Foo Fighters last year. There's no buzzier band in 2024 than The Last Dinner Party and they'd no doubt love the chance to bring their theatrical show to Murrayfield. | Getty Images
