The film awards season is hotting up, with big hitters like Wild Horse Nine, Elsinor, La Bola Negra and Dune: Part Three set to hit cinemas in the net few months.
They are all predicted to join the already-released films The Odyssey, The Invite and Project Hail Mary when it comes to who will be battling it out for the industry’s biggest awards - the Oscars.
The nominations will be announced on January 21, with the ceremony held on Sunday, March 14.

5. Tom Cruise - 15/2
Alejandro Iñárritu's twisty black comedy 'Digger' may have been an unprecedented box office flop, but Tom Cruise is still tipped for a Best Actor nomination, with odds of 15/2 of winning. He plays the eponymous oil tycoon whose greed risks bringing about an ecological apocalypse. Of course, that's not the full story, but there will be no spoilers here. | Getty Images

6. John Turturro - 12/1
John Turturro is the 12/1 sixth favourite for the Best Actor Oscar courtesy of his performance in 'The Only Living Pickpocket in New York'. He plays the titular petty thief whose wife is catatonic and unable to speak. | Getty Images for FLC

7. Sebastian Stan - 14/1
Sebastian Stan bagged his first Best Actor nomination for playing Donald Trump in 'The Apprentice' in 2025. Will it be second time for his lauded performance opposite Renate Reinsve in 'Fjord', where they play a conservative couple dealing with a move to a progressive remote Norwegian town? The bookies reckon he has a 14/1 chance. | Getty Images for FLC

8. Guitarricadelafuente - 16/1
Guitarricadelafuente is one of two actors who have a 16/1 shot at the Lead Actor Oscar. He stars in Spanish film 'La Bola Negra', which takes place over three different timeframes and is inspired by the unfinished work of the same name by Spanish poet and playwright Federico Lorca. | Getty Images
