Shetland Series 11 on the hunt for young Scottish actress to play Tosh's daughter – here's how to apply
A casting call has been launched for Shetland series 11, with the show looking to find a talented island local to play Tosh’s daughter.
Production on Shetland series 11 is soon set to begin, with the hit TV show on the hunt for a talented new cast member.
Shetland will return to the BBC later this year, with Ashley Jensen and Alison O’Donnell set to reprise their roles as DI Ruth Calder and DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh, respectively.

As well as familiar faces, series 11 of the show is looking for some fresh additions with an official casting call launched to find a young girl to play Tosh’s daughter, Louise.
Edinburgh-based talent agency Orla O'Connor Casting is looking to hire someone who already lives on Shetland and who is aged between 5-6 years old, and can play a child aged 5. They must be white to match Tosh and her partner, with the notice also stating that the girl “must be outgoing and able to take direction”.
The child must be available between March 30 and August 9, though they aren’t likely to be needed for more than 4 or 5 days during this period.
The parents or guardians of aspiring young actors are asked to email their child’s age, location, height and a recent headshot to [email protected] before Friday, February 27.
No submissions via social media will be accepted.
