Oscars season is in full swing with all the big names in Hollywood keeping their fingers crossed that this year will be their year ahead of the big night tonight.
The 96th edition of the ceremony has welcomed some of the globe's most loved actors over the years with the likes of the iconic Katharine Hepburn holding the record for the most Oscars with four wins - all for Best Actress.
However, it may shock you that some of the finest actors, actresses and filmmakers are yet to have their name etched onto an Oscar trophy.
Here are the top 10 biggest names in films that are yet to pick up an Oscar during their acting career.
5. Tom Cruise
Okay, so this one really shocked us. Tom Cruise has never had an Oscar - really? Bizarrely, it is true. He has had four nominations at the Academy Awards but never won. Oh, Tom - we're still rooting for you! | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images/Bryan Bedder
6. Johnny Depp
The list of shocks continues to grow. In fact, he may be one of the most famous faces on the planet but Depp has only had three Oscar nominations - all for Best Actors - and no nominations since 2008 when he was nominated for his role in Sweeney Todd. | Paramount Photo: Paramount
7. Sigourney Weaver
At this point, we feel like we need to have a sit down chat with the Academy Awards. Are you serious telling us Sigourney Weaver never had an Oscar win for her role in Alien or Aliens? She has received three nominations (one for Aliens) but her name hasn't been seen at the ceremony since the late 1980s. Shook. | AFP via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
8. Willem Dafoe
Right, this is getting silly now. Willem Dafoe has never won an Oscar? He has received four nominations between the years 1987 and 2019 but never once won. I know - we are shocked too! | Atsushi Nishijima Photo: Searchlight Pictures
