Here is everything we know about Dept. Q season 2 so far.

What is season 2 of Dept. Q about?

The new series of Dept. Q will pick up with DCI Carl Morck, played by Goode, and his misfit band of detectives who make up the titular Dept. Q. Working from the basement of an Edinburgh police station, they are tasked with solving cases previously deemed “unsolvable” and fans can expect more of the same.

In a statement, executive producer Rob Bullock said: “This season, Carl and his band of misfits tackle a terrible crime hidden in the highest echelons of Scottish society.

“It is a story for our times: rich and powerful people who believe they are above the law. Carl, of course, knows otherwise.”

As for which of Adler-Olsen’s books it is based on, fans should perhaps brush up on Disgrace, the second entry in the series. Already, there is a Danish film adaptation of the novel titled the The Absent One which came out in 2014.
