It may be nearly four months until the full programme is launched (June 3 to be exact) but the first tickets for this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe are now on sale.
A total of 351 shows have been announced featuring everything from some of the biggest names in standup to award-winning musicals.
The cultural feast will this year take place from August 7-31 turning the pubs, basements and lecture theatres of Scotland’s Capital into performance spaces.
Here are the 17 shows announced so far that caught our eye. You can buy tickets for all of them on the Fringe website here.

13. ...Earnest
If you're a fan of 'The Play That Goes Wrong' then you should love '...Earnest?', a show about a production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest' which hits the buffers before it even gets started. Don't take an aisle seat unless you're a fan of audience participation. | Contributed

14. Jordan Brookes: The Part of You That's Always Screaming (Pleasance Dome)
Last August saw former Edinburgh Comedy Award present a work in progress show that was better than most comedians' completed shows. How much of that will make it into his new show proper is anybody's guess but the title, 'The Part of You That's Always Screaming', would suggest he hasn't exactly mellowed. | Contributed

15. Shakespeare For Breakfast (C Arts)
One of the best ways to start a day at the Fringe, enjoy a fun and frothy take on a Shakespeare classic (TBC) along with a free cuppa and croissant. | Contributed

16. Olga Koch: Fat Tom Cruise (Pleasance Courtyard)
Will this be the show that finally gets Olga Koch the Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination she's deserved since bagging a nod for Best Newcomer back in 2018? It's going to be "immersive and genre-defying" apparently, so it just might. | Contributed
