Saturday Night Live made its UK debut earlier this year, with some of the country’s funniest comedians selected for the show.
Among them are plenty of familiar faces at the Edinburgh Fringe, including Scotland’s own Larry Dean and other critically acclaimed performers such as Paddy Young, Ania Magliano and Ayoade Bamgboye.
As well as cast members, this year’s festival will also see a host of SNL UK’s writers putting on shows including the likes of Chris Cantrill and Edinburgh local Ayo Adenekan.

1. Ania Magliano
Ania Magliano will return to this year’s festival with new show Peach Fuzz, following three sell out runs in previous years. Fans can catch the SNL UK cast member at Monkey Barrel from August 5-30. | Sky UK
2. Ayoade Bamgboye
Returning to the Edinburgh Fringe with two shows in 2026 is SNL UK cast member Ayoade Bamgboye. Having earned 4 stars from The Scotsman with her show Swings and Roundabouts last year, Bamgboye will bring her new work in progress show Small Talk to this year’s festival. Small Talk will run at Monkey Barrel Comedy from August 16- 20, while Swings and Roundabouts will be at Pleasance Courtyard from August 20-22. | Sky UK
3. Larry Dean
Glaswegian comedian and SNL UK cast member Larry Dean will bring his show Hellbent – in which he is described as “recently married, emotionally feral” to the 2026 Fringe from August 5-30 at Pleasance Courtyard. | Sky UK
4. Paddy Young
English comedian and actor Paddy Young will follow up his 4-star Edinburgh Fringe show at this year’s festival with Will Sir Be Laughing Alone?, which will run at Monkey Barrel from August 4-30. Young will also present A Night with the Stars at Monkey Barrel from August 20-22, which will feature guests such as Night, Sam Campbell and more. | Sky UK
