There have been thirteen winners of The Great British Bake Off crowned since 2010, with more than 100 competitors having entered the tent with hopes of taking home the coveted cake stand.
From stunning signature bakes to incredible and ornate showstoppers, it can’t be denied that some rare talent has been uncovered. And if you worship at the gingham covered altar it won't be a surprise to learn that many former bakers from Bake Off, or The Great British Baking Show if you're from the States, have released cookbooks full of their best recipes, tips and tricks.
We've decided to take a (non-exhaustive) look at some of the best books written by former Bake Off contestants; though we won’t count those which don’t focus on baking, nor will we include Bake Off branded releases.
So here are 29 cookbooks written by Great British Bake Off contestants, including Scotland's very own Peter Sawkins.

13. The Seasonal Baker By Michelle Evans-Fecci
Another series ten contestant, Michelle Evans-Fecci valued bakes which were vibrant, full of flavour and colours. In addition, her focus on seasonal, homegrown produce influenced her baking which is why her cookbook The Seasonal Baker is perfect for those who appreciate locally-sourced foods with recipes for all skill levels. | Robinson Hatchette UK

14. My First Baking Book by David Atherton
After winning Bake Off in 2019, David Artherton went on to publish My First Cook Book for children a year later. Despite it being aimed at children the beautiful illustrations and easy to follow recipes are perfect for those looking to get baking. | Walker Books Ltd

15. A Good Day to Bake by Benjamina Ebuehi
The second of Benjamina Ebuehi’s cookbooks, A Good Day to Bake, is full of sweet and savoury recipes which celebrate the ritual nature of baking. After beginning to bake at 14-years-old for fun, Benjamina made it to the quarter finals of Bake Off during series 7. | Quadrille Publishing Ltd

16. Cheeky Treats by Liam Charles
Liam Charles was a fan-favourite contestant and it caused outrage among fans when he was eliminated from the competition. However, all was not lost as Liam is now the host of Bake Off: The Professionals, judge of the Junior Bake Off and author of his very own cookbook, Cheeky Treats. Full of fun recipes and creative ideas, The Guardian praised the book for reflecting its author. | Hodder & Stoughton | Hachette UK
